Welcome!

I'm Anisa Diab a practicing Muslim and Faith-based Mental Health Professional with over 10 years of education and experience in Psychology and Counseling. I help Muslim clients with their personal development from anywhere in the world via online sessions. Some of the concerns I address are anxiety, depression, mental health, spirituality & identity, anger management, relationships, parenting and family among others.

I earned my Master’s degree in Community Counseling from The University of Scranton with a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Salisbury University. I've also travelled around the country speaking about Muslim Mental Health, Stigma, Suicide Prevention, and Islamophobia among other topics

Previously, I worked as a clinical therapist at various campus counseling centers. I was also Coordinator for the STAND4YOU suicide prevention program at Salisbury University's Counseling Center and later, I worked as a Crisis Counselor for the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline.

Professional. Compassionate.  Skilled
A few words from many to describe Anisa Diab and her therapy services where I regularly refer clients to. She is also a great mental health advocate and speaker in both secular and Muslim communities where I have had the honour and pleasure of working with her closely on many mental health initiatives.
I highly recommend her to those who seek professional mental health therapy

I have personally known Anisa for over 18 years as youth at our summer camp programs, President of the Muslim Student Association, and now as a Mental Health Professional. I was most impressed with the eloquent and enlightening workshops she conducted recently at our camp and WISE conference. I highly recommend that you reach out to her for professional support. All of us struggle with our emotional well-being at various points in our life. I believe Allah is the ultimate healer but that He also works through people. I highly recommend Anisa as one of those professionals that can help you grow personally, emotionally, and spiritually.

I was blessed to meet Anisa Diab and learn a great deal about her professional excellence. Anisa is a gifted public speaker and a trained mental health professional. I have witnessed her countless contributions to the Syracuse community and Muslim CNY community, where she demonstrated personal motivation, professionalism, and expertise in Muslim mental health. Keeping in mind that mental health is a part of our overall well-being, I highly recommend Anisa's services.

Religious Scholar & Co-founder of Tasneem Institute

“As an Islamic scholar, people naturally come to me seeking spiritual guidance to help them overcome the obstacles they face in their lives. While I do believe that faith plays an integral role in ones mental and emotional health, there are cases where people do need professional treatment. Anisa is among the few that I feel comfortable recommending because she treats her clients with respect, compassion and creates a non-judgmental environment where they can work through their problems. She’s a unique asset to the Muslim community because her approach can be tailor-fit to provide care that blends contemporary counseling techniques with the age-old wisdom of the Islamic tradition.””

Anisa is my hero! If you work at a college or in the field of mental health get to know her and book her. She is articulate, intelligent, meticulous. A Muslim counselor, mother, and community advocate. Suicide responder, crisis manager, role model. I've been relying on her insights and wisdoms since starting my work. She's a diamond in the tundra of upstate NY. Recently, she told her coming of age story with such honesty and pathos that I learned more about my own past through her introspection. I personally would go to her for counseling and would highly recommend her for anyone trying to cope.
